Brenden Stookey was born in Goshen, Indiana, where his parents ran a dairy farm. In grade-school he moved with his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he remained for 25 years. He was an accomplished student athlete at Victory Christian High School, playing football, track and field, and basketball, playing for multiple state championships during his career. He was inducted into the Victory Christian Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. During his pursuit of higher education, he earned his Pre-Nursing degree from Tulsa Community College before attending The Langston University School of Nursing where he earned his BSN Degree. He was honored by being selected into the Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor societies for academic achievements during his undergrad education, where he graduated with honors. He earned his MSN from Maryville University of Saint Louis and is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Brenden has worked for 5 years in critical care nursing, working in a universal ICU with a cardiac focus. He has a genuine love for his patients and will daily strive to make sure every individual patient is heard and cared for. He feels as though healthcare is his calling in life. In his free-time he loves rescuing dogs, watching football, off-roading, home projects and gardening with his wife. He lives by the motto God, Family and Football.
