Vanessa Rocha was born and raised in Hereford, TX. She has always had a true passion for helping others in one way or another. When she was young, she often went to doctors’ appointments for her grandparents and it became difficult over time to see her grandparents becoming ill and suffering the detrimental effects of chronic disease.
Vanessa became a certified nursing assistant in high school and decided to pursue a degree in Nursing. While attending nursing school, she worked as a nurse tech in the emergency department. Vanessa earned her Bachelor’s degree from WTAMU in 2004 and relocated to Amarillo with her husband Benny and their three sons. As a registered nurse, Vanessa continued emergency nursing in addition to floating to various areas of the hospital as needed to help fill nursing staff shortages for several years. During this time, she earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from WTAMU in 2014- Sigma Theta Tau National Honors Society of Nursing
Since then, she’s worked in family medicine, discovering her true passion and desire to help others through preventative medicine. Vanessa is experienced in family healthcare, women’s healthcare and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
“I am dedicated to taking time to listen to my patient’s needs, and to educate and empower them to take control of their health and live a healthy lifestyle.,” says Rocha.
During her spare time, she enjoys attending church, spending quality time with her children, watching their sporting events and supporting their careers. She also enjoys traveling and sightseeing, coffee, sunsets and staying active through CrossFit!
