Kate was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. Starting at a young age, while watching a local physician stitch up her mom’s busted finger, she knew she had a passion for healthcare. After high school and through college, she worked as an aid at a nursing home, an event coordinator for preschool aged Texas Panhandle MHMR patients, and a certified nurse assistant in a surgical hospital.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at West Texas A&M University. After working as a nurse for almost 10 years in both intensive care and outpatient cardiology settings, she returned to WT to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing degree with emphasis as a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Kate has a strong desire to further her education and continues to learn through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Her main focus is to provide her patients with individualized, patient-centered, science-based care that addresses the underlying causes of disease and promotes optimal wellness.
When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, and finding new adventures.
