Aesthetics

We at Well Life Family Medicine want you to Love the way you look and are here to help you achieve your goals. This is why we are now offering the following aesthetic treatments. Our procedures will allow you to achieve a more youthful appearance without the expense and down time of surgery.

Juvederm

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid that is a natural substance found in the skin. Hylauronic acid helps the skin retain moisture and softness and also adds volume. Juvederm injectable filler is a gel which is used to correct age-related volume loss in adults over 21

The most common area for the use of injectable fillers are facial folds around the mouth, nose and lips. Juvederm filler now contain lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during the treatment. Juvederm provides natural looking results almost immediately that can last up to one year with no down time.

Botox

Botox is a prescription medicine that is injected into the muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate and severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows in adults. Botox is not a medication that works immediately. It can take 7-14 days sometimes to see the full effect of the product. For most people Botox usually lasts approximately 3-4 months although sometimes it can last longer.

Botox and Juvederm are often used in combination to achieve your aesthetic goals.

As with any of the procedures listed above there can be side effects such as bruising and swelling so we do recommended though that you plan ahead and do any Juvederm or Botox treatment 2 weeks before any special occasion such as a wedding.

If you are interested in any of the above procedures please call our office today so we can set up a free consultation or an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner. We have listed on our website the pre and post procedure instructions for Botox and Juvederm that you can familiarize yourself with before your appointment and then we can answer any questions you may have.

ALMI Procedure

ALMI Procedure ALMI stands for Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injection, which means that we use your own adipose derived stem cells and growth factors to regenerate collagen and restore volume that has atrophied with age.The adipose is derived by a mini-liposuction procedure that removes a small amount of fat from just beneath the skin. That fat is then micronized through a series of filters so that it can be injected through an acupuncture size needle into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the face. To work on fine lines and the superficial layers of the skin, the solution is placed on the skin and a dermal pen is used to exfoliate and penetrate the first 2mm of skin. A local anesthetic is used for both the liposuction and injection part of the procedure so there is minimal discomfort.

The ALMI procedure is the ideal aesthetic procedure because it regenerates the tissue that is responsible for the appearance of aging. Most aesthetic procedures fake this effect by paralyzing the muscles or injecting fillers to create the illusion of healthy collagen and fat that provide volume to the face. Lasers can create an unnatural wind swept look and do not address the deeper layers of fat atrophy. A face lift simply pulls sagging skin back across the atrophied area, which can look unnatural. The ALMI procedure is more of a Space Lift, where filling in volume in the areas of atrophy lifts the face back to its natural position. The ALMI procedure can be used to treat the face, neck, decollete, breast, hands, and any scars on the skin of the body.
